NATURAL HAIR SHAMPOO AND CLEANSER
Alright let’s talk Shampoo and Cleanser,In the natural hair community Shampoo has become a bit taboo because of our dry natural hair, for certain some are more concern about shampoo drying out their natural hair so they usually don’t shampoo their hair, that is why I’m here to help you break that Secret circle about shampoo or cleanser,
You also want to remove buildup of oils and other products from your scalp.while at the same time you don't want to shampoo too much because you'll strip your hair of its natural oils, personally I usually shampoo my hair every two weeks then in between the week I use Co-wash cleanser off and on .
One of my favorite shampoo - SheaMoisture coconut & hibiscus curls & shine shampoo/current,Well I sometimes use other shampoo If I can’t get my hands on the Shea moisture shampoo soon enough, some may say products junkies but I say trying out new goodies, alright let’s be real, every curly girl is going to have different moisture requirements for their unique texture, but if you have 4c and 4b natural hair these shampoo and cleanser is also going to work on your natural hair and just reminded Shampoo should only be applied to the scalp not your hair length, unless you’re trying to remove DIY hair mask that was not properly strained,
Names of other shampoos I really like using.
1, ALAFFIA Shampoo- COCONUT & GINGER
2, Mani MOISTURE Detoxifying Volacanic ASH SHAMPOO
3, ARGANATURAL CASTOR OIL SHAMPOO - restore & rebuild with NATURAL ARGAN OIL
4, Shea Moisture RAW Shea Butter Rhassoul Shampoo Bar
Okay number five is not a shampoo but it will also cleanse your scalp a bit kinda like shampoo but not shampoo, and honestly I just want to let you know if you have build up Indian Healing Clay and ACV and is not going to remove the build up all together,So basically what I’m saying here is for you to Buy yourself a clarifying shampoo and properly cleanse for your hair and scalp because if those oils are not removed from your scalp they will block moisture from entering the hair shaft,so number five is actually a gentle cleanse not a shampoo,
Well most Naturalistas who love using Health & Beauty AZTEC SECRET Indian Healing Clay is always talking on social media about their curls popping after using this product, personally I do not see a whole lot of different in my hair after using it,what I really like about this product is that it is really good in making the natural hair manageable,
Pre shampoo treatment:
In order to make sure hair does not lose its natural moisture,I will recommend You do a pre-shampoo application treatment on the natural hair, before using shampoo,
So I always fully detangle my natural hair then I saturate my hair with warm water for least 4-5 before shampooing it,well since I usually don’t use curlyhair products on a daily basis,so removing knots and tangles is really easy for me,
How To remove knots and tangles
Make sure you are shampooing your hair properly which means rinse for a minimum of 30 seconds.Sometimes what you think is grease is actually shampoo or conditioner that hasn't been rinsed completely and that can cause itchy scalp and itching scalp or hair can turn into dandruff if you’re not using your product the right way,
Note: By Shampooing every two weeks will definitely grow your hair because clean scalp is the key to faster hair growth.
And don’t forget to always use conditioner after shampooing your hair, there are three kind of conditioner’s out there that I know of and these are the three conditioner’s i have used before.
Rinse Out Conditioners
Deep Conditioners Or Hair Mask Conditioners
Leave-In Conditioners
All in all this my consultation about shampoo and cleanser,is You can use both shampoo and Co-wash cleanser at different times but when it comes to hair cleansing shampoo is the only product that is perfectly formulated to remove dirt and oils from your hair and scalp and then Co-wash cleanser is a mild formulated to mainly keep the hair on the moisturizing side instead of fully cleansing the scalp, and you should also pay attention on your shampoo label for these ingredients for you to get good results in your shampoo.
Ingredients to avoid in your Shampoo.
sodium lauryl sulfate,ammonium lauryl sulfate,sodium chloride,triethanolamine,isopropyl alcohol,polysorbate 20,dimethicone,triclosan,quaternium,phenoxyethanol,parabens
